Richard Moorhead is a former solicitor and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. He joins Exeter University’s Law School as Head of School in September 2019. He previously held chairs at UCL and Cardiff. He has conducted numerous studies of lawyers, legal services, legal aid, and access to justice. His recent book is on the ethics of In-House Lawyers and he is on the Advisory Board of Cordery on Legal Services as well as several academic journals. His very interested in innovation and technology in the legal services market. Previous advisory roles include membership of the Civil Justice Council, Special Adviser to various Parliamentary Committees, and until recently he was a member of the Ministry of Justice’s Data Evidence and Science Board.
